My name is Toshihiko Tanizoe, nicknamed Toshi.
I am a national licensed tour guide in English.
I was born in 1944. I grew up in Kwansai district and have been living in Kanto area since 1971.
Kwansai district involves Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Nara etc.,
while Kanto area contains Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone, Nikko etc..
I finished graduate school with my masters in civil engineering.
I had lived overseas for about 8 years in total including 4 years in the USA and 3 years in Malaysia.
I also had a chance to visit Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia. East Asia and West Asia.
During these periods when I was in those foreign countries I was given so much favors
by so many local people who were very kind to me every time.
Now I think it is my turn to pay back for them in the form of guiding visitors.
That is one of the reason I got the national license to become a tour guide.
History, culture, sports, travel, food and gardening are some of my favorites.
As for food I sometimes(probably not often) try to cook.
I think I can cook Sukiyaki, Okonomiyaki and Curry and Rice very well.
Concerning gardening I am often inflicted with wild birds for taking some of the vegetables
that I have grown them in my small garden mostly by plant pots.
My motto is to make tourists fully enjoy their tours and want to come to Japan again.
