Hi! My name is Yoko. I was born as the oldest daughter of a farm that lasts more than 500 years in Yokohama. I went to high school in the United States and studied in Minnesota for 4 years. After I came back to Japan, I studied international business at a university in Tokyo. After graduation, I went on a cruise around the world including Africa, South America and islands in Pacific Ocean, and I had a chance to see Japan from outside.
After working at a financial institution, I decided to succeed my family’s farm and started harvesting shiitake mushrooms and wood ear mushrooms.
Through the unique culture and food of Japan, I will guide you through mushroom hunting and other food experiences that can only be experienced from a farmer's perspective. Also, as a mother of 4 boys from elementary to middle school, I would be delighted to provide Japanese unique experiences for kids from a mother’s perspective.
