Koraku-en is one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan and designated as a place of special scenic beauty. In 1687, Ikeda Tsunamasa, the lord of the Okayama domain ordered his subordinate Tuda Nagataka to begin construction of Korakuen. It was completed in 1700. The garden went through a hard time of the World War II but it still retained its original appearance down to the present day. You can also enjoy a marvelous view of the Okayama castle where the feudal load used to live from the garden.
Bizen district is famous for its distinct, earthy pottery.
