The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa looks to present contemporary art pieces from a new perspective. Located in Ishikawa Prefecture, the museum layout resembles a park and was designed to bring different people together in the appreciation of art. Seeking to ignite visitors' interest, many of the art pieces found here are interactive, which visitors can touch and even sit on. A popular piece is “The Swimming Pool” where from above people appear to be at the bottom of a pool filled with water. In fact, however, a thin layer of water is suspended those below. This museum is a must-see for anyone even vaguely interested in the art of the 21st century.
