One of Japan’s last remaining “hihokan”, The Atami Hihokan Sex Museum, quite literally translates to “house of hidden treasure”. Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, the museum is accessible by cable car, allowing visitors to marvel at the breathtaking view before indulging in the delights of the museum. On one side the real world, on the other a sex museum consisting of holograms, figurines, traditional Japanese sex artwork, and even interactive displays. If the content doesn't make you giggle, the old retro vibe to the museum should do! Nevertheless, despite the rather raunchy theme, the museum is still enjoyed by many curious visitors in the area.
