Daimon Yokocho Hakodate Hikari no Yatai is a food stall village in Hokkaido consisting of 26 different shops gathered together. There are a variety of genres of restaurants and izakaya bars, including ramen, sushi, tempura, jingisukan (Genghis Khan), and more. It's in a convenient location, only about a 5-minute walk from Hakodate Station, and patrons can enjoy inexpensive, delicious, and unique dishes that use ingredients that can only be found in Hokkaido, so when evening falls it bustles with both local residents on their way home from work as well as tourists. At a seasonal event held here called Daimon Bar, one food item and one drink are offered for JPY 500, so bar hopping can be enjoyed for just one coin per shop.
