The Hakuba Goryu Alpine Plants Botanical Garden is part of the Hakuba Goryu Resort and can be reached by gondola from the main resort area. It features more than 300 different varieties of alpine plants in a beautiful setting, at an altitude of more than 1500m. The garden is perfect for plant and flower lovers as well as photography buffs, or anyone who wants to gain fresh inspiration while talking a walk. There is also an observatory and a restaurant in the lower area of the botanical garden, while the upper part of the garden serves as the entrance to a hiking trail to Mt. Kotomiyama.
