Opened in 1929 on land adjoined to Osaka's Hanazono Chuo Park, Hanazono Rugby Stadium is Japan's first rugby stadium. In advance of selection as a 2019 Rugby World Cup venue, large scale renovations and extension work have been carried out on the stadium. In addition to rugby, there is a playground and recreation plaza in the venue where visitors can view cherry blossoms and iris flowers in the adjacent grounds. During the 2019 Rugby World Cup matches being played at the stadium on the following dates, car parks will not be available so it is suggested that you come via public transport: 9/22 (Sun), 9/28(Sat), 10/3 (Thurs), 10/13 (Sun).
