Katsuragi Kogen Plateau is a popular panoramic viewing spot for a sea of beautiful red Azalea flowers during May, as well as fields of maiden silvergrass from the middle of September until the end of October. Located in Nara prefecture, this spot can be reached by first using a rope-way to climb up near to the top of the 959 meter (3146 ft) Mt.
