Even with Kobe City Misaki Park Stadium selected as a venue for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Kobe is a famous port town and tourist destination in its own right. There are a plethora of sights to take in by the sea including Nankinmachi, one of Japan's three major Chinatowns, the stylish Kyukyoryuchi and Tor Road districts, and Kobe Harborland UMIE and Meriken Park. In addition, the Kitano area on the mountainside is popular with tourists as it contains Kazamidori no Yakata and other former residences of early foreign settlers. You will need previously bought car park tickets for the stadium car park. However, during the 2019 Rugby World Cup the stadium’s car park will be unavailable to the general public.
