Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts

The Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts and the Keitaku garden were built in May 1936, in the middle of the Tennoji Park, which used to be the location of the main residence of the Sumitomo family. The museum possesses over 8400 pieces of Japanese and Chinese paintings, sculptures, craftworks, etc. many which are acknowledged as important cultural properties. Temporary and special exhibitions are hosted on the second floor and in the underground show floor.
