The Oshino Hakkai are spring-water springs located in the Oshino village on the northern foot of Mt. Fuji. The water is meltwater from Mt. Fuji that has undergone a purification process of about twenty years in the lava underground. It is considered among the cleanest water in Japan. Yamanashi prefecture has selected it as one of the best scenic spots around Mt. Fuji.
