Sengan-en Garden is a Japanese garden that was created in 1658. It is designed so as to skillfully incorporate the view of Sakurajima and Kagoshima Bay as borrowed scenery. Distinctive for its wonderful scenery and vastness, it is a Nationally Designated Site of Scenic Beauty. A residence that was used by the Royal Lord in the old days stands in the center of the garden. Here, you can catch a glimpse of the way of life back in those days. The garden also has other facilities such as a restaurant, souvenir shop, and museum.
