Shibuya Scramble Square is a large-scale composite facility directly connected to Shibuya Station that opened in 2019. On the highest level, 47 stories above ground, is an outdoor observation deck called Shibuya Sky. From here, the constant stream of people passing through the Shibuya Scramble Crossing can be seen directly below, and visitors can look out on a 360-degree panoramic view of the buildings of Tokyo, including Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree. If the weather is good, Mt. Fuji can even be seen, but only during daylight. For the most diversity in sceneries, we recommend visiting on a sunny day just before sunset; that way, visitors can enjoy the daytime scenery, the sunset, and the nightscape all in one trip. The stunning scenery is not the only allure of the observation deck, however: visitors can also relax in a hammock space and, after sunset, watch a light show that uses 18 searchlights. For a smooth trip, entrance tickets to the observation deck can be purchased online in advance.
The 2nd level below ground to the 14th level above ground is full of businesses, and a variety of shops are set up, including fashion, miscellaneous goods, cafes, restaurants, and more. Shibuya Scramble Square is attracting attention as a new symbol of Shibuya, where visitors can enjoy the latest fashion and gourmet.
