The Shirashima Observation Deck stands at the northernmost tip of the largest island of the Oki Shoto Islands, Dogojima Island, nearby the Shirashima Kaigan Coast. The white, elegant rocks of the Shirashima Kaigan Coast are made of rhyolite, an igneous, volcanic rock, and they have come to be a representative feature of the Oki Shoto Islands. From this observation deck, visitors can enjoy the abundant and dynamic scenery and the contrast of the interweaving colors of the white rocks, the blue of the ocean, and the green of the pine trees.
