Takeo Onsen, located in the west of Saga prefecture, is a hot spring town. With over a millennium of history as a hot spring town, it has a rich history of visitors and beautiful architecture surrounding this facet of its history. Around the town's beautiful red Sakura-mon gate is where the majority of the public onsens currently sit. A relaxing experience for those most familiar with Japanese culture, there are also private family baths which can be reserved for those with a larger budget.
