Taragawa is a brewery on Miyakojima Island that has been brewing awamori liquor using traditional techniques since its establishment in 1948. In the sake brewing observation, visitors will watch a video introducing some of the details of manufacturing awamori liquor followed by a visit to see the Uipya Upusukura Cellar cave storage facility. The Uipya Upusukura Cellar is underground and surrounded by greenery, located next to the Uipya Forest, which is revered as a sacred place. Hidden from the outside, the warehouse is like a secret base where the awamori liquor is kept, quietly waiting to ferment.
