The Railway Museum

This is a railway museum inaugurated in 2007 as a memorial project to celebrate the 20th anniversary of founding JR East. 41 actual railway cars that actually played an active role are exhibited (as of 2018). Simulated driving experiences and Japan’s largest diorama have become popular facilities for many visitors. There is also a restaurant set up in parallel on the theme of selling railway boxed meals and featuring dining cars.
