The Sea Cross on the shore of Hyuga City is a power spot home to a legend that if you visit your wishes will come true. The name comes from the shape of the rocks, which have split into the shape of a cross after years of erosion from the waves. When looking down from the observation deck, the rocks look a bit like the Japanese character for "fulfillment," adding to the legend. The "wish fulfillment bell" was set up to entrust the wishes and hopes of visitors to heaven, and its shape was made with a motif of humans' thoughts and compassion for each other.
