Aso Milk Ranch is a farm in Nishihara-mura with hands-on facilities where visitors can try activities such as milking and horse riding. One unique feature of this farm is that visitors can interact with many different animals, including goats, cows, and guinea pigs, so both children and adults can enjoy their time there. At the milk factory, raw milk is processed from five different kinds of dairy cows to make dairy products such as milk, milk products, natural cheese, and butter. The nine kinds of natural cheese made here are the pride of the ranch, and the rich, mellow taste gives a sense of the craftsmanship involved in the production. There are also experience learning activities at the ranch, such as feeding calves and brushing donkeys, so make sure not to miss out. In addition, at the on-site restaurant, visitors can indulge in a variety of foods such as domestic steak, original soft-serve ice cream, and bread made with the milk and butter produced on the ranch itself.
