The Kawagoe Kumano Shrine houses deities of good luck and marriage. A tori-no-ichi fair held on December 3 is a famous event at the Kawagoe Kumano Shrine and is crowded with tourists and local people. Beside the approach, there is a “Stamping Health Road” where people walk pressing the soles of their feet against stone protrusions, and “Quoits to Try One’s Luck” to see one’s luck by throwing quoits, which are enjoyed by children and adults alike.
