Maya Viewline Kikuseidai is a cable ropeway transport line that takes you from the foot of to the peak of Mt. Maya! Climb aboard the cute gondola and enjoy the refreshing and satisfying majestic scenery of Kobe city and it’s port and the sea beyond the green mountains. Mt. Maya Kikuseidai observation area in front of the "star station” at the top of the mountain is famous for having one of the top three night views in Japan, allowing you to see not just Kobe city, but even as far as Osaka and the Kansai International Airport! The outstandingly beautiful panoramic view that allows you to look across from Kobe as far as the Ise Peninsula is truly incredible attracting many visitors. If you have the time, it is recommended that you see the view in the evening as well as in the daytime. The sky becomes a deep vivid blue from the sunset, and the glimmering lights from the city and pier begin to appear making for quite the impressive scenery. As the deep blue sky slowly gets deeper and darker, the red, orange and yellow lights that emerge make for quite the romantic scenery.
