Meiji Mura Museum is an open-air museum in Inuyama, Aichi prefecture that creates the architecture and atmosphere of the Meiji period (1868-1912). The Meiji period is famous as a period of rapid modernization in which Japanese and Western culture were combined to produce modern Japanese culture. Beautiful Japanese-style houses and Christian churches from the period were rebuilt on this site in Inuyama to form a theme park. Located in a scenic area, the museum's grounds change with the seasons and there are various seasonal events held on site.
