Mt. Washuzan of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, is a small mountain famous for its beautiful view of the Great Seto Bridge and the many surrounding islands. The nighttime view in particular has been selected as one of the 100 Best Night Views of Japan. Mt. Washuzan also boasts spectacular views of the Setonaikai National Park, which is famous as Japan’s first ever designated national park. The trek from the observation platform to the top of the mountain only takes about 30 minutes, so even inexperienced hikers will be able to enjoy the climb.
