At 285 meters, Mt. Daifuku is the tallest mountain in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture. A variety of precious plants grow here, such as shiinoki beech trees, mizunara oaks, bristled knotweed, and yew plum pines. The summit of the mountain is home to the Shiratori Jinja Shrine as well as an observation platform that boasts a spectacular, panoramic view of the mountains of Chiba. The mountain and the forest that covers it is a popular hiking spot for locals.
