Tokyo Disney Sea in Chiba Prefecture is an extremely popular theme park that rivals the nearby Tokyo Disneyland. Some people say its design is even more creative than Disneyland. As the name indicates, the park makes use of Tokyo’s and Chiba’s location next to the sea by recreating real and fantastical ports for visitors to explore. With a similar theming convention to Tokyo Disneyland, with areas labeled as “ports of call”, there is an American Waterfront, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Mediterranean Sea, Mermaid Lagoon, Mysterious Island, and Port Discovery.
