Okutamako Lake is a hidden gem in the mountains of Western Tokyo with beautiful scenery all year round. When most people think of Tokyo, they think of the shiny neon lights and the bustling metropolis areas in the city, but for those who like a bit of peace and tranquility too, Okutamako Lake is an easy day trip (2 hour journey from central Tokyo) with great access from the city via the train. Enjoy hiking and cycling and great panoramic views of the lake whilst breathing in the fresh air!
