Shinobazunoike Pond

Beautiful Scenery

Shinobazunoike Pond is a naturally occurring pond located in Ueno Park, Tokyo. A popular place to visit during the cherry blossom period, Shinobazunoike Pond is also popular as a lotus pond where you can rent paddle boats for a more close up look! There is also a pagoda tower to add to the Eastern taste of this beautiful park.

The trees by the pond make this spot a beautiful nature scene in the urban city. And there are many small animals like mallards and tortoises living in the pond. Plenty of lotus is planted in the pond. When I visited here, they almost withered. But I think it is a good place to enjoy the lotus in summer.
