Spa Resort Hawaiians is a combined onsen, water park, and theme park which can be found in Fukushima prefecture. Built in the 1960s, it was the first theme park to be built in Japan. Advertising with a team of hula girls and adopting a Hawaiian theme, there has been a hula girl cohort entertaining guests in the resort since its founding. From its hot spring source, there are two distinct water profiles which can be experienced, both chloride and sulfur spring waters. Thought to be heated by friction in the geological plates, it certainly provides for a relaxing experience.
