The Kakusenkei Gorge is known for its beauty, and between April and November, "kawadoko" are installed here. Kawadoko are elegant tatami mat seating areas that jut out over the flowing river. Visitors can spend some time here relaxing and listening to the lilt of the murmuring stream.
Additionally, if you taste the special sweetness of dishes produced by Japanese chef Michiba Rokusaburo, originally from Yamanaka, you'll be immersed in even further in a feeling of refinement. Kawadoko bento lunch boxes can also be purchased for take out. A wide variety of these lunch boxes are prepared every day, and no matter which you choose it's sure to lift your spirits.
This is a great place to enjoy the nature of Yamanaka while spending time with people important to you.
