Aomori Contemporary Art Centre (ACAC) is a facility that creates outstanding art culture with both international and regional characteristics and publicizes it. The facility's building was designed by Tadao Ando, who is an architect with an international claim. Situated within a forest, ACAC has no permanent exhibition rooms but instead has its outdoor works dotted throughout its premises. There are many paths through the woods that surround the Aomori Contemporary Art Centre, along which you will see artworks dotted throughout the forest as you follow it. Please enjoy finding them while walking, in a way like a walking rally. Some of the artworks have been made to become one with the forest so that you may overlook them, and it is a facility where you can enjoy finding the artworks. 
 
* Outside of the period of the voluntary business of renting out the facilities of ACAC for the Artist-in-Residence business, etc., the facility of also rented out to artists and the public for engaging in artistic activities. Reservation is required for use.
