Futarasan Jinja Shrine

Futarasan Jinja Shrine is an ancient Shinto shrine in Nikko that was erected together with Rinnoji Temple in the 8th century and established the foundations for Nikko to become a major destination for pilgrims in east Japan. The shrine is dedicated to the worship of Nikko's three sacred mountains, Mt. Nantai, Mt. Nyoho and Mt. Taro.
