Kaminari Daki Falls, or in English "Thunder Falls", located in the Matsukawa River Gorge is a truly powerful natural spot, that will impress any visitor. As the name suggests, after the 30 meter drop onto the rock face below, this waterfall produces quite the roar!! However, what makes this spot really special, is that there is a path you use to actually go behind the waterfall and see the roaring water up close for that insta-worthy photo or video. Also a perfect cooling spot, this waterfall purifies the air, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalized, especially during the hot Japanese summer. There are also a number of hot springs to take advantage of in the Gorge for that extra bit of relaxation!
