Matsukawa Keikoku Valley is a scenic area in Nagano Prefecture that is particularly famous for its autumn foliage. The valley is surrounded by several waterfalls, from which you cannot miss the Kaminaridaki or “Thunder Falls”. Dropping from 30m height and rushing into the rock soil, the waterfall is an impressive scene. The valley is a peaceful place for extended walks if you enjoy nature and is best combined with a visit to a nearby onsen (hot spring).
