The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse is a sightseeing facility outfitted with restaurants, a shopping center, and more. What is currently the Red Brick Warehouse is a reconstruction of a group of warehouses originally built for trade in Hakodate and opened as an international trading port during the Meiji era. Close to 50 shops are lined up here, and the group of warehouses is split into four areas: Hakodate History Plaza, Kanemori Hall, Kanemori Yobutsukan, and BAY Hakodate. At night, the Red Brick Warehouse is lit up, and the romantic atmosphere is a popular photo spot.
