Karikomi Ike Pond is a beautiful natural location located off the beaten path in Koike Park, Fukui prefecture. Inside Koike Park, which is itself a distance away from Fukui city, there are a stunning 686 stone steps covering the hiking trail which you will take in the mountainous ascent. Through the lush forest and past the stepped climb, those who finally make it to the pond will be rewarded with a calm pond perfectly reflecting Mt. Sannomine. With benches to take a rest, it would be a pity to not take a picture in this perfectly serene place.
