Also known as the Mukibanda Yayoi remains, Mukibanda-shiseki Koen Park boasts the largest displays of the Yayoi period remain in all of Japan. Located in the foothills of Mt. Daisen, the park consists of seven field museums centered around the Yayoi no kan Mukibanda Museum. Here, visitors can view ruins from as long as 1,700~2,000 years ago and learn about the Yayoi period lifestyle. There is also a viewpoint where visitors can gaze out at the beautiful scenery of the Sea of Japan as well as several hands-on experiences at which participants can try their hand at excavation or making matagama beads.
