Tottori
Tottori Prefecture is located along the coast of the Sea of Japan in the Chugoku region of Western Japan. Tottori has the smallest population of any prefecture in Japan, and also the smallest amount of cities with only 4 altogether. However, Tottori is famous for it's huge sand dunes, the largest in Japan which stretch down the coast and have 50 meter (164 feet) tall sand hills that make for quite the workout to climb! Camel rides are even available! You can also explore the ruins of Tottori Castle that played a significant role in feudal Japan.
