At Niigata Senbei Okoku (Japanese rice cracker kingdom!) you can learn and observe how to make hand baked senbei (Japanese rice crackers) from professional bakers and get all the senbei souvenirs and goodies you can get your hands on! Inside, you can also find an activities corner with several different courses to choose from. 
 
Having the experience of baking your own senbei, drawing pictures or writing words on it, and then choosing the flavor you want to give it will be a nice highlight to your trip! The most popular activity by far is the giant picture senbei making experience, where you can make a gigantic rice cracker with your own picture on it! Also, in the refreshments corner, you can find senbei soft cream and Bakauke croquette snacks too! In the in-house souvenir shops, you can also grab some Niigata specialities such as sake and rice too, and also get a plethora of specialty “Bakauke” goods made only for the Senbei Okoku event! With all these fun activities and goods stuffed into one event, you could even call it a “rice cracker theme park”! 
※Bakauke is the name given to the rice cracker confectionary products made by Befco (Kuriyamabeika) that is run by Niigata Senbei Okoku.
