The Rainbow Line Mountain Peak Park is located at the summit of Mt. Baijodake in Fukui Prefecture. After buying a park ticket at the base of the mountain, visitors can take a two-minute lift or cable car ride to the top, at which there are a number of areas to relax, eat, and shop.

The park is most well-known for its five Heavenly Terraces, created to have an image of floating on the Mikata Five Lakes. At the Mihama Terrace, visitors will have a view of all five lakes as well as the Sea of Japan at once, making it the most popular spot in the park. There are outdoor counter seats available as well as a foot bath, and there is even an all-weather information house for those who want to relax inside. The Central Terrace has a view of the Sea of Japan, and on clear days visitors will be able to see as far as the Echizen Peninsula, Tsuruga Peninsula, and Tsunekami Peninsula. There is outdoor seating where visitors can relax and enjoy the view, and nearby is the Nanairo Cafe offering drinks, sweets, and the park's original Rainbow Blue soft serve ice cream. The townscapes of Wakasa-cho and Mihama-cho can be enjoyed from the outdoor counter seats at the Five Lakes Terrace. There are also round sofas available for use, but they are quite popular and therefore time restricted. The Wakasa Terrace offers a view of three of the five lakes as well as the Tango Peninsula and Wakasa Bay. This terrace also has something called kawarakenage, or wishing plates; visitors can write a wish on a clay plate and toss it off the terrace towards the lake. Lastly, the Teahouse Terrace has a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan from outdoor counter seats as well as modern Japanese-style cafe Goko-An where visitors can relax and indulge in sweets and matcha green tea.

In addition to the terraces and the spectacular scenery, there are a number of other points of interest in the park; Wago Shrine and the Happiness Bell, for instance. It is said that if two people, family, friends, or lovers, visit the shrine to pray and then ring the bell together, they will both be blessed by the deity of the shrine. Also found in the park is the Itsuki Hiroshi Monument, Mevius Circle representing eternal love, a rose garden, open relaxation spaces, and a hammock space with natural shade. Visitors can even use Rainbow Line's trademark rainbow umbrellas free of charge and take photos to post on social media, so don't forget to bring a camera. Photos are excellent souvenirs, of course, but for anyone who wants something more tangible, there are several shops both in the park and at the base of the mountain where lucky charms created in the image of a rainbow, special products from the surrounding towns, washi paper, and other tokens and souvenirs can be purchased.
