Art & Architecture Beautiful Scenery Insta-worthy

Rokka-en Garden, of Mie prefecture is a beautiful mix of Japanese landscapes and western design. Completed in 1913, the four-storey Western-style building inside the garden was designed by the British architect Josiah Conder, who is famous for the Rokumeikan in Japan. There are also a number of Japanese-style buildings, as well as a pond inside the garden. The garden has a reputation for expressing the ideal of harmony of Eastern and Western cultures in the modern era, and has therefore been designated an important, national cultural property.
