The Museum of Art, Ehime lies within the grounds of the Matsuyamajo Castle and has adopted "appreciate works, create works, and learn through them" as a concept. Around 11,900 individual pieces of art have been collected here, including works by present-day Japanese artists as well as those by artists from outside Japan, such as Monet, Cezanne, Bonnard. One of the museum's biggest characteristics is its space called the Prefectural Atelier where the general public can try their hand at making art themselves. The collections that are on display change 5-6 times per year, so if there's a particular piece you're interested in seeing, make sure you check in advance.
