Former Moji Zeikan

Art & Architecture

The Former Moji Zeikan is a two-story brickwork building that was constructed in 1912 as a government official customs house. In 1994, the building was repaired and reconstructed; a Neo-Renaissance style was incorporated, transforming it into a contemporary building. On the first floor is the atrium entrance hall and a lounge as well as a permanent exhibition room with information on Moji Zeikan. The second floor contains a gallery and an observation room with a panoramic view of the Kanmon Straits. If you have the chance, please enjoy spending some leisurely time inside this retro building.
