The Hibikinada Green Park is the biggest park in Kitakyushu City where visitors can interact with nature and animals. Within the grounds there are facilities where many kinds of plants can be observed, such as a tropical ecology garden and a rose garden. There is also a space where visitors can interact with ponies and kangaroos, as well as an outdoor stage where music events are held. The park is also home to the longest swing in the world, natural playground equipment made out of logs, large-scale athletic equipment, and other activities for exercise, so children and adults alike are sure to have fun. If the weather is good, we recommend renting bicycles. In addition to regular bicycles, there is also a rare bike in the shape of a cart; trying out this fun contraption is sure to be a unique and enjoyable experience. Part of the allure of this park is not just playing, but also learning: throughout the year, a variety of hands-on classes are held. There is also a cafe on site where visitors can taste dishes that use a variety of local vegetables, livestock products, and fish, so make sure to stop by for a break.
