The Hosooka Observation Deck offers a panoramic view of the entirety of the Kushiro Shitsugen Wetlands, which is the largest wetland area in all of Japan. On sunny days, visitors will have an unbroken view of the meandering Kushirogawa River and the Akan mountain range that stands towering over the surroundings, and the evening sun sinking behind the mountains is not a sight to miss. The adjacent Hosooka Visitors' Lounge is a rest space, and food and drinks are also available. Photos of flowers and the scenery of the wetlands are on display here as well, creating an environment easy to relax in.
