Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen

Beautiful Scenery Insta-worthy Onsen(Hot Springs)

Koganezaki Furofushi Onsen is a hot spring facility with both indoor and outdoor open-air baths that have a view of the Sea of Japan. The facility’s biggest draw is easily the sunset which can be viewed from the baths, especially in September and October when the sky is clearest. Particularly unique is the gourd-shaped open-air bath filled with dark reddish-brown water, the color said to be the result of the oxidation of the iron in the spring water. This bath is right at sea level, so bathers can see a horizon covered completely by water spreading out in front of them. The gourd-shaped bath is mixed-gender, but there is also a women-only bath beside it, so women can also enjoy their time without worry.
After enjoying the panoramic view of the Sea of Japan while soaking in the warm bath, be sure to try the tuna steak rice bowl in the cafeteria. This dish boasts fresh, natural bluefin tuna from the local area, and it is the pride of the facility.
