Wasao's House is inside Shichiri-nagahama Kikuya Shoten, a fried squid shop. Rather homely, but still quite cute, Wasao is the Akita dog that lives at the shop. Wasao has gotten famous from blogs and movies, so a lot of people visit the shop every day to try to steal a glance at him. Inside, there is Wasao merchandise available for purchase. There is also a panel with pictures of Wasao; it has become a trend for visitors to take photos here and upload them to Instagram. 
Wasao is quite famous within the prefecture; in addition to being the watchdog of the shop, Wasao is also the "sightseeing master" of Ajigasawa Station, the Ajigasawa-machi "special tourism ambassador," and has been appointed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage special dog ambassador, a "wanbassador." 
Wasao is often out of the shop for filming and events, so if you want to see him it's a good idea to check in with the shop ahead of time. 
*It's difficult to get to the shop using trains and other public transport, so we recommend taking a car.
*In this video the dogs were filmed from up close, but in order to prevent accidents the general public is not allowed inside the enclosure. The dogs can be seen from outside the fences. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
