Saishoin Temple is a beautiful Buddhist temple located in Aomori prefecture. As famous as the temple itself, the Saishoin Temple Five-Storied Pagoda was built over 350 years ago in honor of the war dead of Tsugaru District's reunification battle. Admittance is free and it would be a shame to not explore the temple's grounds. While exploring the temple, wash your hands under the dragon statue in the traditional Japanese fashion.
