Yokokan Teien Garden is a stunning Japanese stroll garden in Fukui Prefecture. The garden has roots dating back to the Edo Period (1600-1867). It once held the name of “Springwater Mansion” and was a residence of the Matsudaira Clan that ruled the domain. One of the outstanding features of the garden is its waterscape which harmonizes perfectly with the sukiya-style building. With various pathways and scenic views, each area is a unique experience unlike the rest. No matter what the season, a variety of visitors from both local and international regions come to enjoy the flora of the garden’s plants and trees throughout the year.
