Only 10 minutes by car from Miyako Airport, the Miyakojima City Botanical Garden has vast grounds of 120,000 square kilometers and over 1,600 varieties of plants that grow naturally in subtropical regions. Within the institution, there are nine different facilities offering a variety of experiences, including a 10-meter-tall observation deck that can be used to see migratory birds, the Miyakojima City Craft Village, woodworking, local cuisine, Miyako horse riding experiences, and more. It's a very quiet park, so visitors can listen to the sounds of nature wrapped in stillness and fully enjoy a leisurely time spent in the southern part of the country. As the park is located close to Miyako Airport, it's a great place for a walk for those who only have a little time; it's also ideal for making one final memory of a trip to Okinawa.
